Favorite quote: "The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is secured for all of us and incorporated into our common life." --Jane Adams
My hope for visionPDX: Diverse Portlanders take ownership of the action plan for the vision, and that people find common values to create a future for all of Portland.

Favorite quote: "It is time to speak your truth. Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the leader." -- Message from the Hopi Elders
My hope for visionPDX: I hope that visionPDX will help Portlanders remember the importance of inclusive democracy and encourage public involvement at all levels of community decision making. We are the leaders we've been waiting for.
My wish for Portland: For us all to create and care for the "beloved community."
